That's why I said I know nothign about drumming. All I know is that it looks easier than it really is. I fucked around on my cousin in law's drum kit and I was surprised how hard it was. We collaborated on Crash and he did a great job with it.

its really tough, its fun to bang around, but to be serious and play well must be really tough. it seems like its really easy to sound sloppy

Its not really the songs, cause most of them are just basic grooves. It his fills that are difficult. Say Goodbye isnt too difficult. If you are able to play a left lead, the groove isnt too difficult. Its pretty much straight 16th notes. The only fill that give sme trouble is the fill used in the beginning of billies and the end of two step. 32nd notes triplets. It took me about a year to get them where I could hit it half the time. Carter's double bass isnt too impressive Jay. Well, in theory anyway.

Say goodbye is up there but not the hardest
as a drummer, I'd say Drive In Drive Out, Billies (the fills), Dreaming tree on BTCS is tricky, YNK, Two Step's finale,

Halloween and crash are easy though crash is a great snare song

I have heard from many drummers that DIDO is that hardest.

My drummer and I can play most every song in the DMB catalogue, yet the only one we can't play is YNK. I can play the guitar, he can play the drums, but we can never seem to put them together and keep the timing right.

I dont believe that it is. Of course, that is my own opinion. Reason why I dont believe it is that hard; What is Hip-Tower of Power. I learned that before I ever got into DMB and the dridge back to the verse is the same idea. It has a bell pattern going while being accented by the bass and the snare filling in the rest. DIDO jam is the same idea. Bell pattern with the kick and the hi-hat filling the rest in. I dont know, but It just came easy cause I already knew that concept.

This is what you gotta do. Go and put some Sarah McLachlan/Alanis Morrisette(sp) and cry yourself to sleep. Common, I know it wont be the first time.

its funny you mention crash. i was listening to the stand up bonus disk when i got it, and i was blown away. i was like "this is crash? why the hell are the drums so insane on such a soft song"

i find it amazing that carter can put such awesome licks and chops into such soft songs without taking over the song.
