Tunings

Unread post by Gspot » Thu May 26, 2005 2:25 pm

Are there any websites that explain to you how to get to different tunings? I've looked around and most every one only says how to get to drop D. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Type open tunings into google and it should bring some helpful pages.

If you go to the advanced section of http://www.looknohands.com there's a pull-down menu of the most common tunings. It'll also give you a nice visual layout of the notes in particular key. I'd reccommend using medium strings if you plan to tune down to anything in the C range.
