Carter... Bam Bam Bam

Unread post by jellyfish » Thu May 26, 2005 8:51 am

I was listening to Crash yesterday (from the WH Bonus) and something I always notice about that song is Carter's crazy drumming. Is that some type of Jazz drumming? Ya know, the really quick rat-a-tat-tat.

Also, I noticed how he crushes it on Hello Again. Which leads me to my question.

What songs, in regard to degree of difficulty, are the hardest for Carter to play?

Some I thought of were Crash, Hello Again, Two Step, Halloween.

BTW, I have no knowledge of drumming so anything by Carter sounds hard to me.

i think say goodbye is a pretty tricky groove. like you can def play a variation fo it but the way carter plays it exactly is pretty tricky to me with all the accents

I also have no idea about drumming. But after watching the Saygoodbye drumming lesson, i definetly thought that looked difficult.
Drumming went up a notch after watching that!

Now, the link I posted below your initial post will send you to a thread in which a similar topic or question was addressed. You are likely to find some more opinions in that thread.

The ending of Dreaming Tree on BTCS sounds insane, its like he is hitting every single piece of his drum kit.

is the end of Too Much hard? with all the crazy repid fire bass drumming?

Jason are you talking about triplets? My friend that I just started jamming with does that quite a bit with the bongos.
