Justin King Vids
ehh, I'm not so sure I completely agree. While you cannot argue that Justin King is any less talented than any of those "Teenie Boppers" it's isn't their fault that he is less popular. His style is very unique, such that, it won't be mainstream. I imagine if he was mainstream and the teenie boppers weren't, you would have the opposite opinion altogether, being a non-conformist and all. The bottom line is he's playing for himself not for everyone else. I can relate, because I hate performing but love just chilling and fiddling around. Furthermore, just because his music is more difficult doesn't necessarily make it better. I mean, I prefer it over teenie boppers too, but music is all a matter of opinion. I mean, doesn't it just absolutely bug you that Dave Matthews gets so much credit when so many of his riffs are simple, like LIOG? No, not at all, because it's good music. How 'bout Jack Johnson, everything he writes sounds the same and is infinately simple, but I still love his music and so do many others. Music is different than sports and business, where those with the most talent make the most money, because its all about feeling and intangibles, not necessarily complexity.

It's not frustrating for him at all. I had a chance to talk with the guy and his band, and they've psyched to have anyone at their concerts! They just want to play music. Period.
I have a feeling they'll be getting big soon. They've just signed with Epic Records, and I imagine they'll be opening on some larger venues soon. I guess they're putting the new cd on hold for now, as Epic wants them touring, (but they want to tour, so its all good).
The band has great harmony on stage. It's a little mainstream, but whatever man, it sounds good. His talent spans beyond just guitar as well. His voice is AMAZING live. It doesn't faulter at all, and beyond that, you probably couldn't tell between a studio recording of his voice and a live version. He also plays the piano and sings, so his talent takes him outside of his guitar. Provided his main instrument is guitar, the guy is just a piece of work.

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.
Well ive never met him, and im pretty new to his music, but from reading what others said about him starting to sing more, and have more of a poppy sound, i just felt that it may have been because doing this will bring him more attention, and spread his music even further. He is obviously someone who does what he does because it makes him happy, not for fame or fortune. I am not as knowledgeable as some of you are when it comes to JKing, but i felt like this was just another example of the "hidden" current formula artists may have to follow to gain more exposure. The punk rock reference comes from bands who start on indie punk labels and release records where they had total control over the songs, the style, and everthing else. However, being on a indie label obviosly means less studio time, among other things some may consider drawbacks. The plus is that there is not some executive hiring professional songwriters, and coaches, to, in a sense, mold them into something the "boss" feels will sell records. Rise Against is a punk band who recently made the jump from indie, to major label. Their third album, the major label debut, is out know along with the song give it all. They are on the radio billed as a hot new band, who is breaking on the scene. They soon will be playing crowds maybe ten times larger then they ever have - why, because they have a catchy song on the radio, and all the punk posers think they are cool cuz they think they have found this awesome band. Truth be told, members of rise against have been playing the punk scence for years. 88Fingers Louie was the band where some of the founding members of RIse Against came from, and they were a really good FATWRECHORDS band, who had a strong legion of true supporters. Im just saying that even true punk rockers, who have always been agaisnt selling out, may reach a point in their career where they can become bigger than once thought, simply by conforming and sacrificing some truth in their songs for sake of what sells records. I would love to play my music to as many people as possible. I would be happy living in a van, playing for 50 peeps in a different city every night. This would make me happier than anything. But after years and years of living like this, and never really making great money, an upgrade may seem intriguing. Instead of living ina van, i could have my own bus, and have abetter chance of playing to more people. and making more money, for all of my family and friends. Sorry for rambling. This may sound stupid and pointless and i apologize to all who spent time reading this and dont agree, or dont understand. I could be totally wrong about King, and the supposed new "poppy sound, w vocals, and everthing. I mean, he is a better guitarist that Cabrera, Mraz, Johnson, Dave, and in some ways Mayer. But hes probably never gonna be the same songwriter dave is, or ever come close to mayers songs. It just appeared to be another situation where someone might say, Justin, if you really wanna get exposure you will need to right more radio type, catchy, songs that will appeal to labels and radio stations who are only interested in making and playing music that sells. Unfortunatley, MTV and radio have created this, and TRL has labeled crappy poppy songs as the hottest in the land. There is awhole generation of kids and teens who only know of music through mtv and radio, and it sux, cuz the real music is the best music, written by artists who jsut love to write. Okay i need to stop. SOrry, this probably doesnot even make sense anymore...........its that damn "lady" - im skeeted
