I know Cor was really interested in doing the electric leads and actually did record his track but things somehow went awry. Anyway, he's not going to be around for a week, so I suppose you can fill in. PM me if you think you can get a track to me by the end of the day Thurday.Appsoldier wrote:not trying to butt my way into this and i know you guys may not know me too well, but id love to be a part of it IF someone else drops you and you need a part. i can do acoustic and electric rhythm and lead. I also sing. but if you don't need me, its cool. but i am really excited to hear this thing. if you need a resume let me know and ill try to prove myself.

This is an official callout then:
firedancer86 - how about you do background vocals?
I think yours and Trippin's voice together would kick something serious...
hah I been out all day.. so calm down.. I'll try and go along with your track again tomorrow.. Your track is "clean" but it is "full" .. and if that doesn't make sense, then I can't really explain it, 'cause it is complicated. But I'll try.. I make no promises of quality of playing on this though 'cause I suck at the tom stuff he does in grey street.

i understand what you mean by full, the rhythm guitar was really out there and in the front and that makes it hard to play over it... i had the same problem when i did my 12 string track just nowgeekmug wrote:hah I been out all day.. so calm down.. Just lemme know how much.fatjack wrote:i understand what you mean by full, the rhythm guitar was really out there and in the front and that makes it hard to play over it... i had the same problem when i did my 12 string track just nowgeekmug wrote:hah I been out all day.. so calm down.. And Geekmug - we're certainly not striving for perfection here. We're all lacking here and there. It's all just to see what happens...

its not that your dB level was too high, its just that the rhythm was rather busy... as if though you were trying to compensate for there not being a 12 string yetRoastbeef wrote:Guys - I can always knock it down a few DBs. and also would you like me to send you my separate track, or mixed in with the others?

Yeah, maybe. That's just kinda how I play it as I'm used to doing a solo thing...fatjack wrote:its not that your dB level was too high, its just that the rhythm was rather busy... as if though you were trying to compensate for there not being a 12 string yet
Separate, please. I'll get 'em all back to you once we're done. Thanks!fatjack wrote:and also would you like me to send you my separate track, or mixed in with the others?
[RELEASE] Grey Street Cover Project
Hey everyone!
Unfortunately many of the parts didn't come to me on time. Anyway, I took what we had and mixed everything down. It actually came out pretty good, in my opinion. These are the participants:
Trippin Hillbilly: Lead Vocals
Roastbeef: Acoustic Rhythm (6 String) & Backup Vocals
billywestom: Acoustic Improv (6 String)
Appsoldier: Electric Chorus Leads
So.....without further ado:
Okay everyone, let us know what you think!!!
