Raised B????
Raised B????
I have been arguing with someone on Antsmarching the past few days about what guitar Dave used for Stay or Leave last winter. I thought he used the baritone because his baritone tuning is raised B ... right? But somebody told me he used his 714. But unless he uses different strings on the 714, there is no way he can tune it up to raised B. Does anyone know what his setup for Stay or Leave is???
Just curious

543212 tuned to raise b. So that means the Low e is tossed and a second B string is added at the end.

Are you sure about the 543212? Everytime I try to tune a guitar like that, it buzzes a rediculous amount.

Here are the instructions to get to Raised B...
And no you cannot tune a baritone guitar to raised B. Raised B and baritone are very different.
I believe Dave was using a 714 taylor for SOL and YNK..

You dont get the same bass with a capo on 7 and good luck trying to slide all the way to the 17th fret on a dread without a cutaway..

Is the upper B lower or higher than the F# in raised B? If its higher, I might want to try an extra 1 string for the top string.

Its hard to do raised b without the damned strings buzzing like hell.
Any tips on string guage and type? I tryed electric/acoustic extra light guage strings but they don't work.
