Well, at least this is the correct thread to bitch in.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I really like the cd, I get kinda pissed when people bad mouth it, I just dont understand. If you like DMB and give this album a chance I would think youd like it. Its a step in a new direction but they cant keep making the same albums over and over again, and the songs live are very good. Its not my favorite but still, its a damn good album.

Once again, I'm sure when the songs are played live they will blow away their album counterparts.

I think think it's possible to like DMB and not like Stand Up and even if the songs are great live it doesn't make the album any better.

I don't like the album but I'm not all pissed and bitter about it. I was hoping for something different but what you do. Hopefully they don't continue to head in this direction but if they do it's not the end of the world.

What I usually mean when I say hearing songs live has helped me appreciate album versions, is because with me that is the way it works. Songs like Too High, The Dreaming Tree, and Stay I never really got into until I heard them live.

i listened to this cd with no expectations and ive enjoyed more than i thought i would. i heard through lousiana bayou so forth and i like some of it. number 1 is my favorite so far.
btw, remember the song "step off" from school of rock? the one where the kids are singing about bullies? well "stand up, stand up, stand up" reminds me a lot of "step off, step off, step off"
For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again

EDIT: I liked what I heard from the Roseland concert, but they didn't play any of the songs that I think aren't good. If they played Old Dirt Hill, Stand Up, or Everybody Wake Up and I liked them I'd be surprised.

Well, its official, after careful consideration my least favorite is Hunger for the great light.
