Not playing

Unread post by mlb1399 » Mon May 16, 2005 12:02 pm

Man, I hadn't picked up a guitar for a few weeks up unitl last night. I felt like I barely knew how to play. It was a struggle. Since I started playing seriously, I had never gone more than a week without playing. Just wondering if this is normal? I am assuming by putting some extra time in the next week will get me back up to par again but damn my fingers would just not cooperate with my brain.

Ive never gone that long since starting to learn. But i know in terms of not playing a certain song, like Satalittle for instance. If i dont play the intro for a while it takes a few attempts to get back into it. Same with OSW intro. I think its pretty natural!

It's definitely natural. But the longer you're away from it, the longer it takes to get back to where you were.

Should only be a few days before you get your mojo back, though.

I feel guilty if I go a day without playing. I play everyday unless Im not home all day. I think its probably a little normal that your having a little difficulty. As long as you keep playing atleast everyother day they should get back into shape and the muscle memory will return.

Yeah, but any more than that and you start to lose the muscle memory.

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.

same here after a day or two off, you can kind of come back to the guitar with a fresh outlook on it, some new ideas

Yeah, last night's practice was quite a bit better than the night before. Although, I think I lost most of the calluses off my fingertips. My fingertips are sore today.

Just keep it up and don't quit. You learn by doing and you forget by not doing.

For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again

I play about 10-15 minutes a day max. However, when I'm jamming over a loop, or recording something, it can be a looong time.
