ive been dicking around with the stone for about a week now, and i thought i had it pretty good. the chorus, transition/jam for this song is pretty easy. i also thought i had the intro/verse parts down as well. well, the other day i popped in benaroya and realized that ive been playing the intro as if it were almost dido, i dont know how i didnt notice it. so that in turned f's up the verse part of it too. i searched for this and couldnt find what i wanted so i guess what my question is, is the 5-5--2-3-2 on the d just strummed with 5 a quick d-u--d-u-d strum pattern? thats what i imagine but i cant get it to work, maybe i just need practice...... thanks

so your right hand should be strumming at a constant rate. i've added the ` and ~ to show the timing with down and up strings. notice how all the down strokes are on ~ and all the up strokes are on `. sometimes, i add an extra 2 or 3 right before that last 2 on a down stroke, sounds pretty good.

My hand is always moving in an U, D, U, D pattern, but I don't hit the notes with every up and down stroke...I do D, D, D, D, U, U, D, U, D, I think. That's with other strokes in between obviously.

just yankin' your chain. i honestly don't remember how to play the song, it's been a while. i think i used the same stroke pattern as the one duffman posted
