I think this is his reasoing, hes against drugs, his idols indulged in drugs and hes trying to convince himself that they didnt write any music on drugs because that upsets him.wkpggrvn2001 wrote:how did john write any songs that werent worth a shit while he was addicted to heroin, he was addicted in the mid to late sixties, when some really good shit was recorded. when you are a junkie, you dont choose when to do it, you do it all of the time so you dont get sick, so john was definitely high on "hardcore drugs" when they wrote some good music, i dont see where your basis in this arugment is, and why it is such a big deal to you. some of the best music/literature/art has been created while under the influence of hardcore drugs. Edgar Allan Poe, was able to write the shit he did because he use to take opium and would have horrid nightmares while on it and wake up and right down his dreams. a vast majority of good musicians did drugs, but you can still idolize them who gives a shit, you dont have to do everything they did, the only reason i idolize musicians is because of what they do in studio and onstage. with hislogic if you idolized mike vick as a quarterback you would go out and try to get herpes. who cares what there vices werejsgksu wrote:I think this is his reasoing, hes against drugs, his idols indulged in drugs and hes trying to convince himself that they didnt write any music on drugs because that upsets him.wkpggrvn2001 wrote:how did john write any songs that werent worth a shit while he was addicted to heroin, he was addicted in the mid to late sixties, when some really good shit was recorded. when you are a junkie, you dont choose when to do it, you do it all of the time so you dont get sick, so john was definitely high on "hardcore drugs" when they wrote some good music, i dont see where your basis in this arugment is, and why it is such a big deal to you. some of the best music/literature/art has been created while under the influence of hardcore drugs.
