martin didn't have adjustable truss rods until 1985............and idk how you could get that confused with a 1954, and saying his grandfather hasnt played it scince the 70's

there's a very simple answer. look at the serial number. on martin's website you will find a list telling you the year that serial number was produced.

hey guys, sorry about this.
my roomate just told me to check the boards for any posts i made that i dont know about and sure enough this is the one.
he is always making fun of me for looking at the boards on this site so he thought it would be funny to make this post. altough i wish this story was true, i dont have a 1954 d-28, just a fuck up for a roomate.

why would i make that up?
my roomate just saw me adjusting my truss rod after the winter and i explained to him how humididty can fuck up guitars. he also knows that old guitars are fucking sweet due to a conversation we had hte otehr day. i thinks its funny taht youd think i made this up, espcecially if i came on here and told you what happened. if it helps, all of my granparents are dead and have been since 1996. might i refer you to this thread to get a feel for my dumbass roomate?
