4/30/05 NO Jazzfest Setlist

Just got back for New Orleans. Jazz Fest was a Great Time, definately recommend it to ALL. I heard some great music in between the rain on Saturday. I felt DMB played a amazing set for the 1 hr and 40 minutes alloted to them. Didn't care much for LB. The crowd was kind of lame(no offense to anyone just my opinion). Def not as many dmb fans as I thought. Took the crowd a while to pick up on the WOO's from the start of warehouse. Stefan had to be a cheer leader.

They also played a lil bit of everyday at the end of a song. Not sure which song.

Haw Haw. I am not the only one who doesn't particularly care for the warehouse woos. I like all of the other things that the band does to get the crowd involved, but the woos always turn me off.[/b]

Yeah, that's amazingly long for a music festival.

yea at a festival its usually 6 to 7 songs max

oh well, 12 songs w/two step and watchtower would make me happy in a night...hopefully i can catch those at the columbus shows...wooo!

When they're debuting new songs, they have to fill up the rest of the setlist with guaranteed fan favorites. That way, if the crowd doesn't respond well to a new tune, they can bust out a classic to keep the show going.

They did that last summer with the new tunes. at the meadows last year they played crazy-easy for the first encore song, so you knew they had to close with something they knew would be awesome. And they closed with the tour debut of watchtower.

I heard it sucked. Just trickle down from a friend of a friend of a friend or something, but who knows.

Good show IMO ... especially for a festival/fair setting.

Dave was very entertaining ... quite a bit of incoherent gibberish, which seemed to amuse the crowd. The place was jam packed as far as I could tell ... everyone I talked to was there to see DMB.
