Unread post by ryopan » Mon Aug 11, 2003 3:06 am

i had some friends who also play alittle dave come over w/ guitars and we had a little concert for my parents and some of their friends. it was awesome. just played and played. then we launched into halloween and my friend (one of the funniest guys on earth, i swear) sang it. my goodness i almost peed my pants. w/ a full yell the whole time, he was just screaming "love is hell, love is hell." and i looked over to see the "crowd" and you could tell they didnt know waht to think. then ofcoarse he said "TELL ME ARE YOU SATISFIED W/.........kissing." good times, good times were had by all. just thought id share. damn good time. :D

Hardly any of my friends who I play guitar with know DMB, so they tend look at me like I'm some sort of fool when I play it. Their loss. I did play the tim part to satellite with a buddy who knew the main riff and vice versa with crash into me, but that was about it.

Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead

Hey man I was at that concert. Halloween was very cool, but I have to say that #41 was the highlight for me. But yes, good times were had by all. Later bro

I've finally got one of my friends into dmb. He plays guitar too. :-)
The only thing that he's learned so far is crash, so we jammed to that. he's timmy and i'm dave. hopefully we'll learn some more crap together!

After the 7-6-03 alpine show.. me and this guy I met Bob.. was parked liek 5 down from us int he parking lot and we were in lien with eachother but after the show my group and i chilled with them and me and Bob jammed on guitar for couple of hours after the show.. all Dave we played everything from The Stone to Warehouse... he played #41 but my friends guitar was out of tune and his playing interfeared with the tuner so i had to wait til he was done and he tuned it quick, i cant seem to tune any instrument other then my own.. so yeah but it was a blast... he lives like a few hours away in Milwakee and my friend Ben said something about going down and next time ill bring the violin.

i got into some crazy jams at that show... before the show went on we were just tailgating in the parking lot and i pulled out the ol geeeetar to play some dave tunes.... after a while a few people started showing up and asking me to play a few songs- once people started singing along it got crazy. It started to rain and these two girls were holding umbrellas over my head so i could keep playing while a group of about 20 people sang along to tripping billies... probably the coolest moment of my entire life :)

I gotta move around that area, here in CT, everbody who plays a guitar likes punk, its disgusting. I bring my guitar everywhere, and nobody likes Dave or any jam bands in that matter(if you qualify dave as a jam band, its 50/50). So Im like one of few who play dave on guitat, that I know. It sucks  .

it's kinda like that here in NH, or at least in Concord. The punk scene is huge, but there are us rebels who enjoy funk and jamband kinda music. I wouldn't say the punk scene is overwhelming but it's the biggest thing around.
