anyway, I was thinking man I wish I had a clip of me playing the guitar of my first year with it(it's been 4 years)...it would probably make me laugh my ass off.

if I were you guys, I would hold on to some of yalls clips and give it about 6 months and check back to it...you'd be surprised at how you improve(I think)
thats what i'm doing right now....shit I even made a fuckin CD of myself playing and singing(that I hid in a secret place of course :D ) that I am gonna check back to in about 6 months. you'll regret it if you don't all my brothas and sistas, late

That sounds like a good idea, though. Now I just need to get a good mic.

I listened to an audition for a musical scholarship I did a couple of months ago where I played Two Step. Completely fucked up the lyrics and placement of the chords. These days I play it almost flawlessly.

Sadly, no. If you heard the tape, you'd wouldn't of given me a scholarship on your life. The singing isn't too shabby, though, except for occasional cracks.

i have a couple wav files of me fiddling around about a year ago. i've been fiddling with the same riffs, improving upon them here & there. never intentional, just naturally.
i also have one of me playing my djembe. bragging is not my intention, but i was sure on fire that night.

Granny.. You don't have to think about it like that.. Maybe 6 months down the road you can give it a listen and hear how much you have improved hopefully. I was amazed. :D
