Bass "Drawl"

In the Jam on Two Step @ Central Park, Stefan holds a note(see below) for just a sec and makes it sound like a drawn out. What is he doing? is it an effect or a bend or a slide? I'm not sure, i just started playing the bass.

maybe hes hitting the harmonic?
