DDTW Request!!!

Unread post by Coldchillin » Sat Aug 09, 2003 6:37 pm

This isn't a contest or anything, but I have just gotten into playing this song solo and want to see how other people play it with just one guitar. No effects, just one guitar and some singing if need be. Thank you for all who help!

Ok, well, his link didn't work, but people were commenting on his effects and whatnot. I would like to hear just a guitar without effects, without layering another part on top. Just one guitar, no effects, and one voice (if possible). If someone can do this it would be much appreciated!

Hey Coldchillin23222! I was actually able to pull of recording this for ya tonight. Next to Fire's it sounds like a total POS, but here it is:

Anyway, it's just vocals and guitar so maybe it'll give you some ideas. Lemme know what you think!

Hey Roastbeef, I really like the cover you posted. It's great hearing just one voice and one guitar with no effects nor editing. Thats how the majority of us play so I get alot from listening to covers like yours. Guitar sounds great. Keep em coming.

Hey hd28v. Yeah, I like to consider myself something of a purist when it comes to recording and try to replicate a solo acoustic performance. I normally limit it mostly to just a guitar and vocal track with minimal editing other than noise reduction, compression, and some slight reverb just to round it out a bit. It is fun to add an improv track sometimes though...

Glad you like it. I've done a BOWA and Cry Freedom cover too.

Yes, sorry for being rude beefcake...umm, roastbeef...It was very good. Firedancer's was also very entertaining to listen to. Both different for their own reasons, but both were also very well done in their own right. Thank you a lot!
