hat and guitar

Unread post by 6_strings_for_life » Mon Apr 25, 2005 5:39 pm

Ok here is my question. Do you guys think that it is impolite or rude to wear a hat at a open mic? I have never really seen many people do this, but I have to play at a open mic tomorrow. I want to wear a hat cause I always do, but i think it may be inappropriate. I remember a friend telling me that he saw OaR and the lead singer wore a hat the whole time and it was kind of a drag.

This may be a stupid topic, but please discuss.

Wear whatever you want. Mraz wears hats live a lot. Who cares what is on your head, it's what is coming out of the speakers. Hats don't make concerts a drag...

I don't think an artist wearing a had would make me think the show sucked.

Explain to me why a hat could make a music performance suck, reread that answer, and then give me your following opinion of what you have written.
Stay with me, safe and ignorant.

i wear hats to open mics all the time. i usually wear my hat backwards though. if you wear it normal, try not to have the brim so low the audience can't see your face.
