nevermind I think I found the answer...looks a bit better then the tab I was using..

Code: Select all

.:Tab - Spies:.
.: Transcribed by Stephen Scully

===============================================
 TUNING - E A C# G B C# for both guitars

 Another great tuning off the Parachutes album. This tuning also appears
on We Never Change.
 Some of these shapes are difficult to play but I'm positive that they are
correct.
 Using your thumb to play notes on the low E string will help
you play these chords.

 ===============================================
 CHORDS: Strings low to high.

 ----------------------------
 C#m    = x4o65o             |
 F#m    = 24o22o             |
 E      = o2o12o             | o = open string
 A      = 57o65o             | x = string not played
 G#m    = 46o44o             |
 C#m7   = x4o6oo             |
 E6     = x7o9oo             |
 Bsus2  = 79o8oo             |
 B      = 79o87o             |
 Ebm7b5 = (11)x(12)(11)(10)o |
 G#     = 46o54o             |
 G#sus4
= 46o64o             |
 F#     = 24o32o             |
 ----------------------------

 INTRO:

 Lead: (Gradually bend : when you release the first bend the rhythm guitar
starts to strum C#m for two bars)

 VERSE 1:

 F#m                          E
 I awake to find no piece of mind,
             A                G#m
 I said how do you live as a fugutive?
       F#m                        E
 Down here where I cannot see so clear,
             A                      G#m
 I said what do I know? Show me the right way to go,
         F#m                   G#m
 And the spies came out of the water,
              A                       G#m
 But you're feeling so bad 'cause you know,
         F#m                       E
 And the spies hide out in every corner,
                 A                     B
 But you can't touch them no, 'cause they're all spies,

 I awake to see that noone is free,

 We're all fugitives, look at the way we live,
       F#m                            E
 Down here where I cannot sleep from fear, no,
               A                    G#m
 I said which way do I turn, Oh I forget everything I've learned,
         F#m                   G#m
 And the spies came out of the water,
              A                       G#m
 But you're feeling so bad 'cause you know,

fuckin awesome song

ESPECIALLY that bridge.
"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

Love this song :) And no, it is not played with a capo (at least not from the tabs I've seen and from what I've heard), it's just a funky tuning
