Simple, you like music, you want to play a different instrument, you say, "hey, let's try the uke" and then you're hooked.

Ukes have become very popular in the last two years, I don't know why.

Had the same problem with mine. The one I have has phillips head screws holding the tuning pegs. Once I tightened those a little it stayed in tune.

ukes are AWESOME! I've gotten really into them over the past two years. I recently purchased an acoustic pickup just for the sake of making it really loud. My uke is a classic concert "Low A". I recently performed #41 at my school with a friend on guitar it was wicked. played the song for about 10 minutes and I was even able to throw in a variation of the Flecktones' Sojourn of Arjuna. It was a blast. Anyways.. Just thought I'd share my ukulele stories

Whoa.

Double-neck tenor ukulele - 4 string on top and 8 string on bottom. Koa all around. Ovation style top, non-bowl (square) back. Commence drooling.

You'd have to be one serious uke player to even consider this instrument.
