Yeah, so I finally got a letter to Dave about DMBTabs.com...

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

not necessarily... some people that play guitar merely see it as a tool by which they can write songs... not saying that dave is this way, but you never know...

and some people use it as a way to play 3 powerchords in 17 different progressions...... they need to get serious

yeah i hear ya shane, and this is why i usually tend to dislike most guitar based songs... yes the guitar can be used to make beautiful music, but a lot of crap can come out of them too. this generally isn't true for most other instruments. instruments like the piano, violin, saxophone, cello or flute take a lot more work to become proficient with. not to say that people can't suck on this instrument, but it takes a lot more time to learn a song on the piano than it does on guitar, especially considering some of the songs that are a product of the guitar

Just look at most punk bands...strum a G5 and a A5 like crazy for the verse and for the chorus play a A5 and a G5 and you've got a song....for some reason people still like it though.....:)

Plug in an electric add crap loads of distortion, play a G5 and a A5 like a wild man with no rhythm at all, and tell me that doesn't sound like crap...aka punk :)

Very cool Jared.
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

I also want to make 1 thing clear. This original post wasn't some kind of giddy kid getting excited becuase he heard somethinga bout Dave. Most people here know that just the satisfaction of knowing Dave knows about the site and thinks it's cool....It just justifies all the hard work that Pittman and I put into it. At least for me it does....Pittman always complains about labor laws and being a code slave. Don't ask me why, he just does..........

I use it purely as a tool to pick up chicks.

I'm glad all the hard work has paid off, kanter. You guys do a great job. :)
