Is it just me or does stay or leave sound really shitty with the capo? I just think it sounds better in standard, I guess cause the chords ring longer???

I don't mind playing it with a capo, just a tad bit of a different sound.

Try putting the capo on the 6th or 5th fret. I have done that before. It lessens the brightness when you are up on 7.

I hate playing high capos like that. Even though its the same notes it sounds better when its just in raised b.

yeah the capo 7 is lame. and actually i think if you work at it the standard version isn't much harder than the capo 7 version. someday i'll have to try restringing my guitar to raised b.

the standard version isn't too bad, I think the capo sounds so bad because it cuts the sound short since it is so high up on the fretboard

I had a question.. I tune my with a tuner into standard, but when I put a capo on the 7th, and play the low E open, its a little sharp and i know its supposed to be a B but its a little sharp, is that normal or is there something wrong with my guitar.
and all the little ants are marching..

Very normal. You can't capo like that, or at all for that matter, that is add that much tension to the strings, and keep them right in tune.
