soundhole pickup

was wondering what your thoughts are on pickups like this one

has anyone used anything like this, would i be better off with jsut getting a nice mic, and i would think that if there was a cord it would get in the was sumwhere

there is a used rare earth soundhole pickup for sale here: http://www.acousticplayermagazine.com/f ... topic=2119

just thought I would tell you, it might be a better pickup than the neo-d
