Crash Into Me

Unread post by eliot1171 » Fri Apr 08, 2005 12:47 pm

Hey fellas I just got a new guitar and wanted to try it out. I know this isn't the whole song but its all I could get done before I went to work. Done with a $6 Labtec comp mic. This is my first attempt at any Dave songs so please don't be too harsh.

listening to all your stuff right now, some really good stuff here. DOnt really have a problem with hitting the notes, guitar is a little choppy at times but nothing that stands out too badly. Splurge on a better mic, and listen to my purevolume songs!!!

Also how do u like the guitar. I'm lookin at getting one. i hear great things about it...but if u wanna post here or pm me about how u feel about the guitar that would be awesoe

Yea it was the best bang for MY buck(280) at least. If you just want an acoustic instead of an e/a then I highly recomend it. I haven't played one that I like better even close to that price range. The closest thing I've played was the Martin d-15(699). Now I know I'm no expert, (kinda a newb) but I have played a lot of different guitars. I have been trying different guitars for the last three months going to diff stores at least 2 a week. Now I can stay home and play more.

Thanks for the critiques. After I posted this I thought "I can afford to get a new guitar but not a decent mic?" So I'll be getting one shortly.(sure sm58) Yea I still have to work pretty hard to play guitar, I know it needs work and I'm planning to take lessons this summer so I hope that helps.

This was one of the harder songs for me to sing. I'm working on falseto right now. If you listen to my other two songs I think I let my voice go a little bit more on those.

Yeah, work on the guitar part. It sounds like you are playing a little bit more than you need to in a few parts. But your voice fits very well with the song and you do a great job!

the reverb is a little too high on the guitar, but overall this sounds really good.

i have always loved your voice. another good one man. i wish i have a voice like that lol.
