Specifically looking at second (D), third (G), and fifth (G) chords in this sequence....what are the fingerings? Do you lay fingers 2,3,4 on the b, g, and d, strings or just press one finger at a strange angle on all three strings? All three fingers are a tight squeeze and makes finger 1 arch too much. The other way hurts badly.....

Normally you would probably use the first finger to barre the fret, and use your third finger to lay across the three other strings in the middle. especially that high up on the fretboard, it would be hard to use fingers 2 3 and 4 to hit those strings.

that's usually the plan...it is tough...practice lower on the guitar, like a x13331 or something. or maybe it will sound just as good if you do mute the EJaDaRu wrote:So then I'm just gonna have to plant my finger down and bend it up at the joint so that I don't mute the e?
