spotlight

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Hello everyone!
I was wondering if anyone has a good tab of Spotlight that they could post. I like the song and it sounds fairly easy to play but I can't find a good tab of it anywhere. If you don't feel like writing out the tab, could you tell me where I might find a reliable tab of it elsewhere on the net? Thanks!

:D

I agree! I've only heard the solo acoustic performance of it by Dave at the Deek House back in 92', and I would love to hear how the full band would arrange their parts around the guitar work. I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed for its appearance on a future album :)

the one that I said to download isn't the full band one. It's the slow acoustic one. Search for Dave Matthews - Spotlight (studio version)

yeah, he doesn't like playing it, but I still like hearing it. I don't know why Dave hates it, but I'm sure he has his reasons. It's not because it sucks because it doesn't.

that's all anyone wanted to hear back in the day...I think he just got sick of hearing about it, but he said in an interview before the '98 tour I believe that a "turd" might even rear it's ugly face...
