I have no clue what that (gamehenge) is but I figured I be ripping someone off. :) I made that the same night of all the biblical thread fighting over in nDMB, so I figured the apocolypse fit with current events.

Just wanted to be the first to say that everybody did a great job. Only criticism is that they all (except maybe Mike and Swede) needed to be sped up a bit. You wanna be able to tap you're foot to it and go 'yeah' 8).

Hehe nice touch with the current events there....Gamehenge is a story/musical that Phish wrote back in the early 80's. It has really mellow music in the background and Trey is telling the story of Gamehenge over it.

I didn't vote but here are my critiques.

MIKE:
The intro was one of the coolest things i've heard on here. awesome idea, very original. your guitar playing was dead on solid. great playing. the only thing i can think of that i didn't like in your playing was some of the lead bends in the very beginning. other than that i give you an A+ on your playing

Your vocals need a little work in places. You were on most of the time but you tended to kind of fade off flat or sharp. Good job

BEN
Freaking A dude. at first i could't stop laughing but then when i quit laughing i realized how good it really was. you have so much musical talent it's crazy. your harmonies were amazing, your lead was good, everything was just so awesome. not to mention the originality. if i could vote you would have gotten mine. awesome awesome awesome.

SWEDE
Did i get an incomplete copy??? did you not sing??? i'm goign to go try to dl it again cause it did kind of cut off somewhere around 3 min. from what i did hear, your playing was ok, a little jumbled at times, but overall pretty good. we all know you have a good voice now so i'm hoping i just got an incomplete version of it.

GRAVES
Haven't gotten yours to work yet, i'll change this post w/ a critique once i get to listen to it.

GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!! AND THANK YOU TO YOU WHO STUCK W/ IT AND PRODUCED A COVER SO WE COULD HAVE THIS TINY LITTLE CONTEST :)

Alright here we go...

APPS: I couldn't believe how clean your playing/recording was. It sounded great. I liked your lead/backing track...you knew when to play and when not to. Sounded great. Great vocs too, locked on. As far as improvement, I think you should speed the song up at bit, and the verse sounded like you were just picking notes once instead of getting that "attack." It was missing the hard strum/muting that I think makes the song. Great job, probably the most solid cover on here.

PEZZ: I gotta say it made me laugh, especially when boyd's part came in in the beginning. But as far as sheer musical talent, you're brimming with it. I can't believe you're able to blend that many tracks and have it come out sounding so great. Awesome.

SWEDE: You swedish turd, finish your song.

GRAVES: Solid solid playing, good sense of rythym. Speed up a bit though. Vocs were really good in terms of being on key, but it seems to me like you overpronounce a bit (too choppy between syllables, if that makes sense.) I dug the shortbread tossed in there. :) Another very solid and clean cover.

Good work guys. I recorded mine in two tracks, one take on each cause pops went to bed, so I know it's a bit sloppy...but I had a fun time doing it. :)

Take one off of mine. I voted for it before reading the "contestants do not vote." Or we can just have the other 4 vote for themselves, and it'll be even again.
