Question on Ibanez
Like Priase, I also feel its a good idea to play before you buy.(the actual guitar not just same model) Well, I was at my local music store, which I go to on a regular basis,(I dont think they like me) and they just got in a used Ibanez AGE10. I have two questions, does anyone have one or a similar model, I just want opinions. My second question is about the price. They are asking 229, but I'm not sure that is a good price for being used. I love how easy it is to play, great action and shallow body. I know its doesn't have the pure sound of a taylor or larrivee, but it is quite loud and crisp for being as shallow as it is. I would appreciate any comments.
This one is simmilar but not the same finish.(transparent burgandy)

it is nowhere near as important to play the specific laminate guitar, laminatess are almost completely uniform because they're made from the exact same material, wood differs, thats why its important to play most acoustics before purchase.
if they say 229 and its used try to get it for like 210, so offer em like 190 and work em down.

Well I have an Ibanez PC300 CE NT, and a friend of mine has an AEG10 very similar to the one you want. Neither of us are happy with the guitars. It only sounds good for a little while after its been restrung and after that it sounds like crap. Its made out of crappy materials. Ive had it for only a year and already the tuner is broken and the saddle has needed shaved. Its really not worth it. Save up for something better, unless its your first guitar which I think Ibanezs would be fine for.

this is musician's gear, not make stupid comments abut me!
Now off of Checkii's inapropriate comment, and back to the topic . . .
Although, with Ibanez, when you get higher up in their price range, like around 1000, they are decent. The lower models, though, I wouldn't buy one.
Yes, I am in a box

The first guitar I ever bought was an Ibanez, can't remember the model(it was in a starter package). I still own and play it today. It really depends on your price range. If you can spend another 200-300 dollars then i would suggest going for a better guitar. If all you have is $230 to spend then I don't think it's that bad of an idea to buy it. Ibanez are not the best sounding guitars but you can play them forever, neglect them and you will get your money's worth. It's an even bigger bonus if you like the sound of it.
