DMB @ Randall Island, NY

Unread post by i like tictacs » Tue Mar 29, 2005 10:02 pm

DMB is excited to be returning to New York City on Saturday, July 30th and Sunday, July 31st. Close to Manhattan and set against the New York City skyline, the all-day events on Randall’s Island promise to be unique experiences. Musical performances on two stages will begin early afternoon and continue into the evening. Additional artists will be announced as soon as they are confirmed. A variety of food and beverage stands will be on-site serving traditional and non-traditional fare throughout each day. The venue will be set up amphitheatre-style with both reserved seating and general admission lawn. A special VIP pass and premier parking will also be available. The Warehouse ticketing request period is now open as Series 5-2005 and will close on Thursday, April 7th. We will be sending out updates on the show, public on sale and transportation information as it develops. Please click here to join the Warehouse.

Yeah I just saw that too. Sounds real good, like a mini-bonnaroo festival hosted by DMB. I'd like to see alot of last years opening bands/artists show up and perform. O.A.R, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Keller Williams, maybe even the Flecktones and Timmy could be there. Wow, that would be badass. I'm not going to be able to make it, but I hope some people here check it out.

Anyone thinking about throwing down $250 for the VIP passes? I think I just might.

Honestly, I am usually opposed to dishing the big bucks for these types of gigs but for some reason I am compelled.

Could it be the free food ?
