they're pretty much all the same. there's no special acoustic electric cable. i'd just go to guitar center or something and get a 15 foot one...should run around 20 bucks.

Monster is the best, but I don't use them. A couples salesmen at my local music store were helping me when I was looking at cables, and I was all about Monster. They told me unless you are creating a home studio or some other professional type application, Monster is more or less a waste of money. I mean, if you are gigging with them, why would you want a $60-$80 Monster cable getting an amp rolled over it and ruined?

I like the Planet Waves cables. The ones that are supposedly designed with one end for the guitar and the other for a guitar amp.

I honestly don't think cables make much difference. I mean, you can tell when a cable is dead, and it's time to get new ones, but apart from when I splurge on Planet Waves, I usually get the generic ones that most music stores sell with their logo printed on them.

Peavey cables are decent as well.

I get my cables for free. My dad makes them for me, lol. He's going to make another one in a day, an extremly long one for gigs.

Read this. Monster = not good.

http://198.107.45.79/story.php?story=5654

I forgot to mention that I refuse to give money to a company that files stupid lawsuits against any, and every, company that dares use the word "Monster" in any sort of business name. Not only did they file a frivilous lawsuit against someone who sells MONSTER (as in Frankenstein and Dracula) memorabilia, but they also are currently attempting to sue (amongst others) Fenway Park for calling the seats behind the Green Monster "Monster Seats" and the Chicago Bears for calling themselves "Monsters of the Midway."

hell -they even tried to sue Disney for having the nerve to have a movie called "Monsters, Inc." No, I'm not kidding.

They are currently suing a company called Monster Vintage for using the word monster.

Here's a list of current cases they have filed for "Trademark infringement"

The last time I looked, the word "monster" was around waaaay before Monster Cable was founded in 1979, so, Monster Cable can kiss my monster ass

Oh, and their cables suck.

ive found that the two moster cables ive had have had problems...now one of the posts says why waste your money when you might roll over it or somethin and ruin it....well, they are lifetime warantee...so you just bring it back to the store, and they have to give you a new one, no charge...ive done it once already. because of this warantee, it seems worth it
