The only new song played was American Baby, and I know that there are mp3's/shns of the shows floating around

Seriously, think of some of the names of Dave songs that you love. Now had you heard those names prior to hearing the songs themselves youd probably say the same thing: Tripping Billies, Dancing Nancies, Jimi Thing, Drive In Drive Out, Proudest Monkey, Pantala Naga Pampa, Diggin a Ditch, Sweet Up and Down, Anyone Seen the Bridge, Good Good Time... A lot of those sound either really weird or lame or whatever but theyre all good songs, dont judge a song before you hear it (or a book by its cover, and so on)

I have an appreciation for odd song titles, I'm a Tim Reynolds fan after all. I mean, one of the songs on Stand Up is said to be titled Louisiana Bayou. A title like Bring that Beat Back, alone screams rap/R&B influence. Which may not be a bad thing. Just caught me off guard I guess.

Perhaps with a title that Bring That Beat Back Carter goes ape shit??

Exactly, also its called "Old Dirt Hill (Bring That Beat Back)" not just BTBB. And this album was produced by someone whos done a lot of rap/r&b albums, maybe there will be a hint of that music.

I'm definitely looking forward to this album more each time I get a new piece of info like this.
