imo, taks are much nicer than washburn in both sound and design. Their electronics are not amazing but with a little adjustment with the mid and bass, its not at all bad.

I like how the few washburns i have played.... ...well, played. Most of the Taks I have played have sounded good, the cheap ones sound very cheap and the better ones sound great.
i like washburns for the money though.

Yah, you got the TK4NT, its their newest preamp that they are putting in their guitars now, I guess. Its not TK4N or N4B like takamine.com says most of the guitars come with... I got the same preamp

well their old preamps may have sucked but these new TK4NT are amazing, check one out.
