I'm extremely saddened if that is carter's new set. His old one was so much cooler looker and that one is tiny..we all know more is better 8)gumbomadness wrote:just saw it-- wasnt TOO bad, theyll tie it all together soon. Boyd looked cool.
Carter got a new set..
stephan looked like he had a tampon in his ass.
But as far as the playing-- its better, just-- dave voice-- not workin on this song.
GOOD FIND!

It might be possible he didn't travel with his main set, or it could really be a replacement.DMBFan63 wrote:I'm extremely saddened if that is carter's new set. I would assume if that was his new set, he wouldnt be able to play a lot of the old material like hes used to. Im assuming he just brought what he needed to play American Baby and that is all, or at least I hope because that set was noticeably smaller and I know nothing about drums.c_tietze wrote:It might be possible he didn't travel with his main set, or it could really be a replacement.DMBFan63 wrote:I'm extremely saddened if that is carter's new set. Most people are only exposed to DMB's live music potential on t.v. in their apperances on the late night shows, Leno, Letterman, Aussie t.v. in this case, whatever - I've never seen a great t.v. performance once from the band.
I don't like this song, I think it's boring.
Dave is obviously working out, good for him.
Live on TV he is much more conservativce vocally and musically.
how bout that letterman #41 when they didnt even play the intro, they just started off with "come see....."
just gopes to show that the listening public is stupid and impatient.
Most popular music is marketed so adeptly in print, radio, t.v. - it'sensory overload! These bands don't even usually play live shows (maybe it's more difficult to lip sync in an ampitheater?)
EDIT: Yeah, I saw an old Leno clip (could be Letterman, I forgot), but anyway they're playing a track from BTCS, it might be DDTW - TERRIBLE! Honestly one of the worst performances I've ever heard or seen from DMB. If I wasn't a fan I'd be totally turned off by this one.
Of course there is one definite gem w/regards to t.v. apperances.
Dave solo on Charlie Murphy playing the Stone! One of my favorite versions of any DMB song played on t.v.
