i liked that guitar riff, it reminded me a lot of an acoustic alchemy song
as for the vocals... ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh... you need some work. you are quickly ascending in pitch to get to the right note, and when you try to sustain it, you fall flat. work on breathing properly when you sing, it will help a lot

yeah, definitely know what you're saying. i'm practicing still, and i've been singing alot lately. i find it hard for me to sing on a recording though, because its like solely my voice. i find it much easier to sing with a guitar. i just like mess myself up because i'm too focused on it. i just need to let go.fatjack wrote:i liked that guitar riff, it reminded me a lot of an acoustic alchemy song

what acoustic alchemy song did it remind you of?

as for singing while recording: try recording your guitar (or preferably a piano) playing the melody and singing along to that, then just take that track off when you are done recording the vocals

no, i know. i do. i'm saying that i tend to sing better when i'm actually playing the guitar, not listening to it through headphones.fatjack wrote:it reminds me of road dogsdmbguitar718 wrote:yeah, definitely know what you're saying. i'm practicing still, and i've been singing alot lately. i find it hard for me to sing on a recording though, because its like solely my voice. i find it much easier to sing with a guitar. i just like mess myself up because i'm too focused on it. i just need to let go.fatjack wrote:i liked that guitar riff, it reminded me a lot of an acoustic alchemy song

i like to stereo mic my guitars and such, and the sound wouldn't quite be the same. i should do a few recordings like that though.fatjack wrote:well then just record them both at the same timedmbguitar718 wrote:no, i know. i do. i'm saying that i tend to sing better when i'm actually playing the guitar, not listening to it through headphones.fatjack wrote:it reminds me of road dogsdmbguitar718 wrote:yeah, definitely know what you're saying. i'm practicing still, and i've been singing alot lately. i find it hard for me to sing on a recording though, because its like solely my voice. i find it much easier to sing with a guitar. i just like mess myself up because i'm too focused on it. i just need to let go.fatjack wrote:i liked that guitar riff, it reminded me a lot of an acoustic alchemy song
