yeah the beat/hook gets people to like the song...but those are the songs that these rappers put out on the radio and mainstream music...you get hooked to the song, buy the cd, download other songs, and its these other songs that you dont hear on the radio and such that are lyrically basedjellyfish wrote:Was it Rolling Stone that qouted Dave as being a Jay Z fan, and Vice Versa?
Anyway, I dont like rap. Some songs are ok becasue of the melodies but I never , ever said "Wow, that guy is good at rapping." it was always the beat/hook for the reason of liking the song.
