How is #41 first chord played w/o a sec thumb on left hand??

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Not actually making a chord, but I can stretch my hand that wide.

EDIT: Sorry, it's 7 from 1st and 8 from 12th.

Represent :P

I don't know if I learned it here or somewhere else, but I know a lot of people who play it that way.

that is exactly how I play it guru and I agree it sounds just fine. Could someone post a picture of the "proper" way to play that chord? I would love to learn it

Garrison G-10 Ce

This little Gem I play is from a relativley "new" guitar from a company called Garrison. The company is Canadian & use a unique bracing system to sustain the sound. Coupled with Elixirs this guitar sounds great. Beautiful Tone & excellent resonance. The recording doesn't give the guitar justice because it was taken with a digital camera.

Anyway, they are great, cheap guitars that are ALL wood. No laminate with a slight gloss.

I've read about them, last I checked they were only making dreadnaughts. I prefer a more curvy guitar myself but it sounds good for a quick clip. I wish I knew how to put up a song. I'd like to get some feedback in the critiquing board

Thank you! That's exactly how I play it and it sounds just fine. I'm almost 100% sure I've seen Dave play it that way as well.
