Does anyone know anything about these books?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

This site paramounts the information that you could get in that book. Don't waste your money. All the tabs are here and they are almost 100% accurate. In addition, you have virtual help from us by posts, audio & video all for free.

yea, but that book is specifically for beginners. this site is pretty advanced because it's exactly how dave plays it. for example, in ants marching, they would just tell you to play a G and a D instead of all the slides between.

i would try the site first, but if it's too advanced for you, i'd look at some other sites that have the tabs wrong (they usually tab it the easiest way to play the song), and if that doesn't help you either, then i would consider the book.

Dont get that book man. Use the tabs here. Pick easy songs. Practice and you can do it. Anyone can do it. Dont take the easy way out cuz it'd do you no good. Just pick easy songs to start with.

I was just wondering.... I have a folder full of the tabs from this site, and I can play pretty decent. You never can get too much help though, but if the books don't show the proper chord formations then its all bad....

Thanks guys....

Exactly.. DOn't short cut your way. I did that in the begining & I still suffer from some of my old bad habits. Learn correctly. Play correctly.

If I could recommend three to get, get the Crash, BTCS, and L@LC books, becuase the timmy parts are tabbed out almost note for note.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I have the Blue Luther Book. It's pretty darn accurate.

I also have the blue Luther book, but I personally don't like it. I have trouble staying with just 1 guitar ;)

Plus those books have a habit of only tabbing out the verse or chorus once, so if you're just learning the song you have to flip back and forth madly as the song passes you by.

I'd much rather have this site.

screw the books, this site rocks. If you need the music notations then get them... but this site has everything you need, makes things simpler too.

Book retails 12.95 to 19.95 right?

Accurate tabs off this site = free. (of course we should all give Kanter some $$$ to support this site)
