prior finger injury...beginner
i have an prior finger injury, i am working on finding a solution to it so i am able to play. The very tip of the index finger on my left hand. (the fretting one) well if anyone has a suggestion, let me know. you wont believe me, but about 5 years ago, (im now 16) i took a trip to visit a relatives friend, who had aquired a tiger, yes a real live bangle over 250 pound tiger! well i had went to take a photo so i bent down to take it through a fence and it grabbed on and i took it back (screaming of course)...the owner concluded he did it cuz he plays w/him and has him pull of leather gloves. some people are clueless! well everyone has an opinion.

Well there are a few things you can do.
If you havent started to learn too much yet you can switch to left handed. There are a lot of draw backs to that like not being able to play everybodys guitars and not being able to always play in stores and what not. But you can do that.
Or get prostetic finger. Like a hard rubber kinda thing.
There are many musicians that have similar things that you have. Phil Keagy is missing his right middle finger. The lead guitarist for Black Sabbath was missing three of this finger tips on his left hand, so he got prostetics and just lowered the tension of the strings (which is what i think you should do). The drummer for Def Leapard had his arm torn off in a car accident and just fixed up his set so he could play with one hand. And apparently
Jerry Garcia was missing a finger too but i hadnt heard that before.
