Grey Street

Grey Street... Is the song about a depressed person, that wants out of their misery?
"She feels like kicking out all the windows and setting fire to this life of hers , she could change everything about it using colors BOLD and BRIGHT, but all the colors mix together to Grey."
does he mean that as much as she tries she cant' be happy? she cant get out this depressing grey street?

I always thought it was about prayinging for a sign from God your entire life and then the one time you actually get it it is not in a form you can accept and thus you forsake it. The crazy man is God.

I thought it was about a wife getting the crap beat out of her by her husband.

Ive also heard its about a Julia Grey.
