Unread post by mlee » Thu Jul 31, 2003 8:47 pm

Hey there all, just wondering what is safe to use to polish my ebony coloured guitar. Am I going to have to buy some of the guitar polish at the local shop.....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks :)

i bought my polish for eight bucks (can.), and it works great. i think you can use windex watered down, but if you've got a good guitar, i'd recommend the store-bought stuff. it lasts long enough to be a fair buy.

ask the local shop what they'd recommend. you normally can't go wrong with buying guitar polish from a store.

What polish you buy depends on the finish of the guitar; Martin recommends a polish for gloss-finished guitars and just a damp cotton washcloth for satin-finished guitars.
