Ive listened to this a million times but just recently did it dawn on me that the jam at the end of jimi thing on live at luther college is Pantala Naga Pampa in the working, its before BTCS but i imagine thats where it came from even the improv vocals are really similar, how long have yall noticed that?

Yeah...ever hear the Lost Acoustics compilation? They call that "What Will Become of Me". I'll give the two a listen, it's pretty cool though, I just listened to it the other day and thought about that very thing :D

It'd be cool to see them do Jimi Thing > WWBOM/ PNP > Rapunzel

I like the WWBOM form a ton better, because of all the pretty effects and harmonics timmy does in the background. WWBOM is the D&T version of PNP, used as an outro for jimi thing. I'm glad they always do it that way at D&T concerts.

They did the jimi thing>WWBOM>Pantala Naga Pampa transition many times on the 99 tour...you should be able to find it with ease....and there are a few acoustic rapunzels floating around....of know of 2 different sounding ones, but it could be just different qualities of 1.

yeah, i have a recording from the forest benefit in san rafael, ca.
03-14-99. they play all three together and i have to say that the wwbom is the best i've ever heard with timmy in the backround. i think it only pushed dave to put a little more emotion into it and that's why/how he came up with pnp.

What I wonder is how they go from playing the 8 or so chords of WWBOM over and over to the first part of PNP. Do they speed it up and play the first three chords of PNP? Do they play PNP at the same tempo as WWBOM and go straight to "Come and Relax Now..."

Go to antsmarching.org and download a copy. They don't play those first 3 opening chords. He sings WWBOM and then goes straight into "Come and relax now..."

They did this also on 3/24/99 (Storytellers  )
