Yeah, I know. Everybody's different and fatjack seems to always post with bit of an edge. I guess that's just his personality. Perhaps I was the one being a bit too abrasive here. Sorry. I didn't mean to offend. I know it's easy to interpret the wrong thing in a message forum. Personally, I highly value the criticism I receive here and I try to use it to better my playing/singing, which IMO is improving.
no problem, i wasn't being defensive... i just wanted Trippin to be more specific... and i like criticism as well...

fatjack..what I meant was that imo it would have made the intro a bit more interesting if you mixed the strumming up a little bit.
Pick a few notes...a few consecutive down strums and then build up to a full strum, not necessarily like dave. That was just a suggestion so do what ya like with it..

The 'here' thing, I guess it could have been the reverb but to me it seemed like the singer just belted directly into the mic instead singing that part away from the mic.
Watch dave when he sings #41 or any other song for that matter, the really loud parts he pulls his mouth away from the mic. It gives it the same effect a compressor microphone would.
It's basically just to make sure that the vocals are pretty much at the same level/volume throughout the song.

Hope that was more specific then my last post..

yeah we need a compressor mike big time
Laughter come on downtown window
And we see faces walking back
Tonight everybody gonna remember
Remember in time...
