he won't like them though, because according to him, he's the only one who can play dave like dave and no one else can, and anyone who doesn't play it EXACTLY like dave sucks.

gcom shut your fuckin hole...I said that I have yet to hear someone play exactly like dave, and as for your ass, I said you werent all that great listening to the way you played them, I have heard others play dave songs not like dave(howie day, and yes, the man to whom you want to give a blow job to-john mayer) and I thought they were awesome...Dont put my opinion for your skills onto everyone else.

What Dave cover does John Mayer do besides that instrumental version of Lover Lay Down? I heard Patty McGee do versions of Jimi Thing and #41 that were pretty good.
