Is how I think you handled that.
what would have been a non-passive aggressive approach to that? i said what i meant: it sounds a lot like YEM. period. end of sentence. no underlying meaning behind what i said. what about that was passive at all?
NO, that opinion is fine. I should be able to say it sounds just like "little wing" and shouldn't be riduculed. For the second time, Im referring to when you told him "I think Not.." <-----------------------------
On a side note,
Do you really want to present yourself that way?
maybe it was passive-aggressive, but it doesn't mean i dont think that. he must not have heard what section i was listening to if he cant hear the similarities
and do i want to present myself how? honestly? of course i do

Ok, so I listened to the entire phish song, but I can't even see my tune coming within ten time zones of the "you enjoy myself". It's not the same progressionm or arrangement. But meter wise it lays over my song fairly well, so I can understand where you are coming from.
But, there are only seven concert notes for musicians to build from. I once wrote don't fear the reaper from the Blue Oyster Cult before ever hearing the song. However the similarities between Whacha Gonna do and You Enjoy Myself are moot in comparison to the use of the Blue Oyster Cults arrangement. For Instance it is the same progression as watchtower, the end of stairway to heaven, kryptonite, and countless other tunes. I won't cross that line, but Whacha gonna do is definitely clear of foul territory, I think.

Hey guys, just trying to keep this thread current for copyright reasons, and in case anybody didn't get to hear. FYI while I'm posting we actually have 20 originals. I am not sure if we should release a dual cd debut or put good material on the back burner. We'll play it but if we get signed the corporate monster won't let us release another album until the first one is milked for every dime, so I kinda want to release two before there is any accountant making us sign a contract to refrain from doing whatever we want with our music. Suggestions?
Dual debute or single release?

Get your music out there while you can. Enjoy the freedom.
