Guitar was solid. I think you should sing this octave higher. It would sound better.
The tapping was cool, but it would have been better if you had arranged some runs before. It also seemed like you were just playing that same tapping riff over and over, with just slight variations. You might wanna try tapping and experimenting to see what fits.
Lastly, try not to hard pan the tracks. For example, pan the tapping track 60% right or something. It sounds odd when it's only coming out of the right channel.
Not a bad job, though. Just some things I noticed.

i agree with what you said about the tapping, its just somethin im messin around with. i was on a very small scale (6 tapped notes, and the cooresponding pull offs) i was more worried about not screwing up.
i wish i could sing an octave higher....

thanks for the crit pat. (you;re my idol)

i tried going to the other end of the spectrum and playing on E and A, but that didnt sound good at all... im still playin around with this thoughdmbguitar718 wrote:Yeah, the tapping wasn't bad. I mean, you hit the notes fine and everything, it just needs more variation if it's going to be improv.

That tapping track is waaaay too loud. You could have it that loud but not over the vocals. In fact I wouldn't bother playing any fills over the vocals until you learn to make them more seamless/subtle.
Your voice wasn't as hopelessly awful as I remeber it being. In fact it wasn't half bad compared to most vocals posted here. Try and stick to really simple melodies that give you time to breath. This was a good song choice in that regard.

ive been working on my voice a little, we'll see how i do on the other covers i have planned for this week.
i experimented with making the tapping quieter, but then it really got lost at some points behind the chorus guitar. ill make it quieter the next time through tho, i dont have much of an ear for these things

tapping sounded off rhythm for most of it, and rather inapproriate in general (i couldn't even hear the rhythm guitar when it was playing)
and you were actually singing for all of it, most of it was the monotone sound of normal speech, with a few of the notes you can actually hit thrown in. this happened because you cant get low enough for some notes at that octave. i have the same problem, my range can only be dropped a full octave if its in G or A.

you know what... I think if jumped up an octave after half of the song that would make it kinda cool and generate a rising action or however you want to call that.
as for the tapping, I do agree with previous posts: try to fix the the timing and cut down the volume a bit.
other than that, great job. The rhythm guitar was definitely solid.
