I can't believe it either

Unread post by Ranting Thespian » Sun Feb 27, 2005 12:37 am

Ok, I was at one of the local guitar stores today. They are an expensive one that I never buy stuff from, but they are the only ones that carry martins. I got there just to play sometimes. I go there, and grab a D-35 to sit down and play. I then came home, and pulled out my Michael Kelly SM NA. I couldn't believe it! I liked my Michael Kelly more! I was in shock! Not only does it sound better, imo, but it feels better to sit down and play with. This is very strange.

I've played quite a few guitars that are comparable to martin's higher end guitars, but not near the price. I love when I discover something like that. It makes you realize you don't have to spend 2300+ dollars for a great sounding/playing guitar.

I have to say, I LOVE the D-28. I've always loved it, and always will (the d-38 is the same guitar, just a few different cosmetic things, to let you matin newbs know). I bet when I have money to throw around, I'll get a D-28 (but after I get the Epiphone Casino and a Guild acoustic). I just feel more comfortable with my MK Legend, and I only paid 300 for it from someone who was on this site

Oh yeah, sure I'm a winer because you say so elliot. Just keep these posts up, and you will be kicked off. So, actualy, keep doing them :) . I'll have a party on that day.

Anyways, has anyone here come up with loving a more inexpensive guitar versus extremely expensive one.

i have played a lot of martins, but theres something thats lacking in most of them i played. i dunno what. I prefer Taylor over martins. and i also prefer takamine as well.
