searched for it but couldn't find...what is so special about the nylon material on some picks??

why so many choices?
i've used dunlop .6 for a long time, but i got sick of em, and they would always slide, then i got gator grip, but that gator grip would wear off in an hour, so then i took a blade to em and made scrapes, not sure if i like that, so i'm just trying different pick options now.

i have many diff ones for my diff styles, i use the 2 ,5's for most everything, the nylon when its something really strummy like crash, the duct tape one for softer picking and the 1er for heavy picking, like the stoneHCHaikuWarrior wrote:why so many choices?
