barre Q?

Unread post by granny_dmb41 » Sat Feb 26, 2005 10:19 am

hey all
im just getting into barre chords, so ive been playing some jack johnson. ive been working on the intro and what not to inaudible melodies:
http://www.mxtabs.net/tab_versions.php? ... ies,146509

from that site. at the top it shows the chords ex. c#7 etc. so i know what those are but then at the bottom of the tab it just goes to the lyrics but gives new barre chords. im kind of new to barres here so i have no clue what those are without the tab. i was just wondering in that song, when it gets to the bottom ofthe page, if someone could help me out with the following chords: Bb, B, and G#. ive been picking up these chords pretty quick, makes playing jack johnson real easy. except i just dont know those three chords, thanks!
p.s. it starts at "Slow down everyone...". sorry if this is a no brainer post

i don't really know this song, but...

In the beginning of the tab it has Bb and B
Bb is:

688766

and B is:

799877

I assume that G# would be:

466544

but I've never heard this song nor tried to play it, hope that helps

wow that actually helps a lot, ur diagram. i just took a second and looked at it and the tabs and i feel like i know whats going on better thanks. only question i have is like, in the tab it shows jack as play a C#7:-46464. based on your diagram i thought C#7 would be played as -46574? can they change? or am i just gettin too in depth for this, or am i just thinking wrong. thanks
