Dave and his LAkewood

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Dave and his LAkewood

Unread post by tomek322 » Wed Dec 04, 2002 10:16 am

I read some reviews of the lakewoods and people say that they break up under heavy strumming? Since dave plays it on live at Luther and it doesn't sound like it breaks up anywhere i was wondering if anyone owed one of these guitars and how they like them for playing dave music?

Sorry lets re-phrase the question? Has anyone actually played or owns a lakewood. Since they are relatively hard to get a hold of i was hoping for an opinion of how it compares to other guitars.

I don't own one but in the L@LL sheet music book it has a picture of him holding his lakewood and I also think it explains that its what he uses.. just my 2 cents.. have a good one

however, he didnt actually use a lakewood at LLC :) which is odd... he used it on a couple shows during that tour though.

Lakewoods are phenomenal guitars. Check out this sites for reviews of the guitar that Dave owns: A-32

ok, now it makes sense. just as a general note, if you ever need anything for your guitar, or a new one and can afford to drop a pretty penny on one, in my many, MANY hours of searching the net for the supreme guitar shop, samusic.com is where it's at. The best prices I've seen, with INCREDIBLE service (I know, I've ordered a few times from them) free shipping, prices included with tax (the price you see is the price you pay) honest opinons, quality people, FREE GUITAR RETURN BEFORE TEN DAYS (I think it's ten- you don't like it? You ship it back and get your money, no questions asked), overnight shipping free on all guitars. you want something done? if it's within reason, they'll bend over backwards for you. A great site and store run by great passionate musicians. I buy strings in bulk from them and it's great. I couldn't give the site a higher reccomendation, and I have complete confidence in the products, reviews, and owners. If you're serious about quality steel string acoustic guitars, with or without electronics, samusic.com is the best bang for the buck bar none, with no quality compromise whatsoever.
