Different way to do a part of granny

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Different way to do a part of granny

A:3---(5)--

E:1----8---
this is how it is tabbed

D:3----10--
E:1----8---
this is how I play it. You just keep your ring finger on the A string and can slide and it is faster and more effecient than dave's way. What do you think?

I play it with a 1332 and a 8,10,10,9 I think it sounds fine. While we're on the topic, Granny is such a great song, I just love the way Dave wrote this song, its is beatiful. Of course, it's better played live with a full band, but this is a song that when played solo, not having a band doesnt affect it too much.

Congratulations, mlb, you have been inducted into the "who cares what I play even if it is not exactly what dave does as long as it sounds go to ME" club.

Believe me, that was far more of a complement than you realize.
