i saw this today

the movie was very "kid-ish" at first and for most of the movie. not to say it was bad, but it was deffinately a little kids movie for the most part.
towards the end thought, it all came together pretty nicely as a whole.

Dave's acting wasn't bad at all...it's hard to think of him as an actor. i just wanted to see him play guitar, and it took a little while for me to accept that he was an actual character. but dave was really not even a big part of the movie. he was only in 3 or 4 small scenes, and one big one at the end.

his acting was solid though, as solid as it needed to be for a role like this. and his guitar playing was beautiful, even though he never actually even got in a whole song the entire movie.
Butterfly was pretty good, and that other little riff he plays at the begining is pretty nice too.

overal: movie was okay, and got pretty good at the end.
Dave's acting: decent
Dave's guitar: limited, but good

what Taylor was that by the way? it's all dirty and hard to tell

that taylor is his 714c...the one he tunes to B...i love how it looks like that...that one got old fast.

Mos Def is a great actor, he was nomintated for a Golden Globe award this year. And it's hard to see Dave as an actor but no one else could have played the role. Does anyone know are the words for Butterfly written by Dave or the author of the book?
